TWONK Update Day 3

I was lucky enough to ski with group 2 today, the weather and snow conditions were amazing and it was one of my funniest ever days on the slopes. This resulted in quite a few TWONK nominations, but there was only ever going to be one winner.

Nominations:

Libby C - a number of votes for her constant (very loud) screaming while going down the blue runs today.

Ed D - again several votes for Ed who moved up to the top group today. Apparently considers himself to be the best skier on the mountain which resulted in a number of falls and one epic wipeout on a black run infront of the instructor. Needs to consider his speed in the coming days.

Dan C - Dan got stuck on a small hill and refused to come down as it was too steep (it wasn't), eventually when he came down he went into the safety barrier in slow motion which the whole group found hilarious and Mr Thompson recorded on camera. One of his only slip ups of the day, he skied very competently for the rest which is why he didn't get the award.

There was only ever going to be one winner today, it's been a very long day for him and I think the pressure of having me ski in his group definitely interfered with his skiing. The newest member to TWONK club, Liam Butler take a bow. He had a number of early falls, all very funny but he actually thought he had forgot how to ski. He complained of a 'head loss' halfway down a run which the whole group found hilarious, his buddy for the day Mr Thompson couldn't ski for laughing, Liam's a comedian in the making for sure. He a chance to redeem himself on the group slalom, bigged himself up to get the best time, said he would put everything on the line to beat me..... He crashed on gate number 2 and had to walk down the whole run with his skis and poles in hand, he was gutted. His final contribution to TWONK was going the wrong way down a track and getting physically stuck in about 5ft of snow, again Mr Thompson has the evidence which we will try to upload. Liam did however manage to clock a speed of 75km which was very impressive and remains to be the best talking skier in the group, but does not always deliver on the slopes.

On a teacher note, Mr Thompson and Mr Cross had a number of falls and errors in front of the groups today, but unfortunate no picture evidence to back it up.

Thanks for reading another day in the world of TWONK, hopefully we can add another pupil to the group tomorrow.

Thanks,
Mr Buck

  1. Wow! So surprised that Edward thinks he is the best! Usually such a modest lad as well! Next time he falls over can someone video it please.
